a month agoMy experience with Cytray DX Vision/Ten Haaft: Purchased in July 2022 along with a new Carthago motorhome. After a year, in July 2025, I experienced reception problems during our vacation. I contacted customer service by phone and email. It seemed to improve. Then, the reception gradually deteriorated. At first, it only happened in wet conditions, then after nightfall. This continued for quite some time until, in the fall of 2025, there was no reception at all. My warranty claim went unanswered. They simply told me to order and, of course, pay for an LNB from their online shop. No improvement. In short, I sent in the dish, and after three weeks and an inquiry from me, I received a bill for approximately €130 for repairing a solder joint. I'm just glad the entire dish isn't broken. Nevertheless, I'm disappointed that my warranty claim was completely ignored. I'm glad the entire dish isn't defective. The motto seems to be: hear no evil, see no evil, play dead, the customer will just swallow it and pay. So: I can't recommend the Cytrac. The antenna worked for a year, then started having more and more problems. If customer service had addressed the reception issues after they became known, it wouldn't have been so bad. Things can always go wrong. But as it is...

2 months agoI had an appointment at Ten Haaft on October 30, 2025, because the antenna, an Oyster 60, on our 2019 motorhome was no longer retracting automatically. I had to wait about three months for my appointment, but the telephone contact was very friendly and helpful, and my questions were answered expertly. The site offers several well-maintained pitches on concrete paving with free electricity and water for Ten Haaft customers. A friendly employee delivered fresh bread rolls to us in the morning before the repair. The repair began as agreed. During the first short visit to the workshop that morning, the antenna and motor were removed, and a test antenna was installed, which I then used to drive back to the pitch. In the meantime, the antenna and its drive mechanism were repaired in the workshop. After about 4-5 hours at the campsite, I drove the motorhome back to the workshop, which was about 50 meters away. There, the test antenna was removed again, a process that took about 5 minutes. Afterwards, our repaired and partially renewed system was reinstalled and thoroughly tested. All in all, we are very satisfied with the work of the very friendly and highly competent workshop staff. The work wasn't exactly cheap, but in my opinion, the professional workmanship and excellent service more than justified the price.

3 months agoIn summary, I have to say that we weren't happy with the Cytrax satellite system. First of all, you pay a lot of money for the antenna. Then the first failure occurred during the warranty period. I had my dealer fix the problem, and after €300 of fruitless troubleshooting, I planned a visit to the factory for my next vacation. They discovered a manufacturing defect. The dish was apparently not heat-resistant. The on-site service was excellent, but without the defects, I wouldn't have had to drive 1,600 km. Now, two years later, the LNB seems to be malfunctioning. I've been trying to fix the poor reception for a year, blaming it on a poor location. At first, I was advised to check the dish position. Now it's probably the LNB - goodwill was rejected. Conclusion: In my opinion, a completely overpriced product with failures and considerable follow-up costs. I'll probably remove it from the roof and install a satellite router instead. I'd rather stay away from Ten-Haft.
