a month agoTaking out travel insurance with ANWB isn't difficult. But canceling it is very cumbersome: - via email (because there's no email contact option) - via the website (because an "error message" with the message "something went wrong, please contact us by phone" doesn't really help. You can't schedule a callback either) - by phone, because when you call ANWB, they don't answer. (Temporarily) overloaded? Your last resort is to contact them via WhatsApp or go to a store. In short: customer-unfriendly! Hopefully, this is a temporary problem, and then I'll retract my review. But for such a large organization, I find it a sad development that it's made so difficult for customers to cancel their insurance. Therefore, when taking out (travel) insurance with ANWB, consider this: taking out insurance is easy, canceling is difficult. Work to be done, ANWB!

6 months agoWe took a 10-day tour of Egypt. It was an unforgettable holiday. Everything was perfectly organized. The excursions were wonderful and highly recommended, thanks in part to our Dutch-speaking guide, Tamer.

a year agoLast year we booked a trip to Namibia, but we had to find out for ourselves that the trip was canceled due to a lack of participants. So, we weren't informed at all by the ANWB! This year we tried again, booked another trip, but this time with a guaranteed departure, so we wouldn't be disappointed again that the trip wouldn't go ahead. Unbelievable, but this year we had to find out for ourselves again that the trip was canceled, even though we had booked with a guaranteed departure. That's how anyone can do business, by not taking any risks themselves and letting the customer suffer. They take absolutely no responsibility. When I called the ANWB, they told me the trip was canceled due to a lack of participants. What does a guaranteed departure even mean? Even with a guaranteed departure, they simply cancel the trip. Please don't book with this organization, because we've been disappointed by the ANWB for two years in a row. I filed a complaint, but haven't received a single response. Such an unprofessional and customer-unfriendly organization that disappoints customers time and again. It's a real shame this organization has deteriorated so much, because we'd already booked long-distance trips ten times, but now we're completely done with it. So think before you go and book a trip with another company if you don't want to be disappointed.

a year agoBe careful with ANWB trips: You book a trip, they shorten it, and if you're not satisfied they say, "Others are satisfied, so you'll just have to make do!"

a year agoThe Rhine cruise was a success. The ship and crew of "De Melody" were impeccable. But the ANWB Travel website and the associated ANWB phone service are downright terrible. So bad that after more than 60 years as a member, I'm considering canceling my subscription. Fortunately, the shipping company knew what service was all about.
