4 weeks agoI opted for a European quality product from a European retailer rather than a cheap product from China. I had the unit installed by an experienced professional. Unfortunately, the product stopped working after three or four weeks. Although the product was delivered to a shipyard in Italy, it wasn't possible to have the defective unit picked up from the same address. The manufacturer, Dometic, then dismantled the unit and determined it wasn't covered under warranty. They claimed it was an installation error by the professional. They offered me the option of either having the unit, which is still under warranty, repaired for €448.56 (almost the price of a new unit), or having it returned to me unrepaired at my own expense. In this case, Dometic charges €54.00 for the estimate, plus shipping. Alternatively, I could have it disposed of free of charge. I will never buy anything from Boatoon again. I will never even touch a Dometic product again. Chinese products are not only much cheaper than European ones these days, but also of higher quality.

a month agoWe've had a new campervan since mid-August. In mid-September, we discovered that three of the awning windows had cracks at the retaining clips. Our warranty claim was rejected.

a month agoCustomer Service Emsdetten. My air conditioner – only 5 months old – is malfunctioning. It switches itself on after being connected to shore power. Yesterday, I emailed customer service describing the problem. Just one day later, today, I received a reply with a suggested solution. I took it to the dealer, and a new unit was installed this afternoon as a replacement. Excellent customer service and a prompt, hassle-free response and assistance... Thank you so much! :)
