4 months agoRV heater broken - H1 error, obviously only occurred while using the vehicle. Service partner found through the hotline, initially in the Lake Constance district: Bosch Service 1: no longer works with Eberspächer Bosch Service 2: heating specialist unavailable - appointment in 10 days Black Forest area: Bosch Service 3: This time with an appointment within 3 days, but then, the device for reading the error couldn't be found???? Bosch Service 4: Filled in for a colleague without a device on the same day, read the error, result: Hard to say H1 + ??, needs to be disassembled, and that requires an appointment!! Possible in 15 days, repair on the day of the appointment uncertain because it might have to be sent in. Back to Bosch Service 3 with this diagnosis: No time to disassemble, so a new appointment is needed..... The heater is installed in a motorhome! Is there really no solution for a defect on the road?

8 months agoThe motorhome heater is utter junk!! No workshop within a 50km radius is willing to repair it! Not even the ones listed on the Eberspächer website. The service is abysmal.

11 months agoPoor (no) service + brand new auxiliary heater still doesn't work. The same error message keeps appearing. I'm now at the third "partner workshop," which, unlike the first two, is competent, but still hasn't been able to fix the problem (replaced the electronics, checked the entire installation). A year ago, I tried to contact Eberspächer by email, but I haven't received a response yet. The contact person (from Eberspächer) at my workshop says I should take my vehicle to the vehicle manufacturer who installed the heater. The vehicle manufacturer in question has been insolvent since January 24 and no longer exists. Moreover, it's over 800 km away. Why does Eberspächer advertise a national network of partner workshops? Why isn't Eberspächer interested in demonstrably brand-new units that are also demonstrably defective?! The partner workshop (left alone) is also surprised and can't recommend anything other than a unit from another manufacturer. In total, my vehicle was in various workshops for three weeks; I need it for commercial use at least five days a week. In another vehicle, I have a Webasto heater that's been maintenance-free for over ten years and runs like new! Edit: After one and a half years, Eberspächer sent a new auxiliary heater to a partner workshop. They installed it, and I haven't had any problems since. Everything works perfectly. The whole process was a bit tedious and cumbersome. A partner workshop I visited, which unfortunately wasn't competent at all, never contacted Eberspächer and submitted a warranty claim, including any cost coverage. This workshop, which couldn't solve my problem, has been sending me reminders for a year. This annoys me and raises questions about the process and the communication between Eberspächer and the partner workshops...
